Ram Navami is celebrated on the day of lord Ram's birth. He was born in the raghuvansh family which was measured the most qualities family as Ram navami is celebrated in the memory of lord Ram. Ram Navami occurs on the ninth day of the shukla paksha, or bright phase of the moon, in the astral month of Chaitra (April-May). The first day of Chaitra marks the beginning of the Indian year. Lord Rama is complimented by Hindus all over as the avatar of reality; Rama has been an ideal son, an ideal husband, and above all an ideal king. On the day of Ram navami the birth of Rama is remembered for his prosperous and righteous reign.
Rama was the first of the four sons of king dasharatha of ayodhaya. When it was time for Rama to be made crown -prince his stepmother which name is kaikeyi got dasharath send Rama to the forest for 14 years. His wife (sita) and his brother (lakhshmana) also went with lord ram. In forest sita was kidnapped by ravana. Ram together with hanuman and the monkey army built a bridge to reach the lanka, killed the ravan and brought the sita back. That's why ram's birthday is celebrated as a festival.

The youngest female member of the house holds worships lord Rama after that they applying a red tilak to all the other family members. In occasion of Ram Navami, the temples of Rama cleaned and decorated with a lot of flowers. Many peoples worship to lord Rama. Devotees sing devotional songs imp raise of Rama and sway image of him in a cradle to celebrate his birth.
